Conclusion

The Sony Walkman encapsulates the improvement of the quality in the listening and watching devices over the years. Without the Walkman we wouldn't have innovations such as the Mp3 player or the iPod. This exhibit allows us to go back in time to see how these devices influenced the way we interact with technology today. Without the 8-Track or the Walkman we wouldn't have the access to as much music as we do today. Without the Panasonic Solid-State 3-Way, Sony Trinitron and Panasonic BiSider we wouldn't be able to stream our favorite shows or even connect with others on large scale social platforms. Audiences will continue to innovate, educate and entertain for generations to come thanks to the influences of old technology. What device will change society next?
